Third in the podcast series.
This is the first podcast for the project from The Kleptones.
This is a ‘moodcast’ to set the scene for Glitch, one of the two scripts we’re developing as part of A Swarm of Angels. The Kleptones scouted for artists who release Creative Commons-licensed tracks and/or work via netlabels, collecting candidates in response to conversations about the script with me.
This is a mix rather than a full mash-up as part of the soundscape evolution to Glitch. The tracks are:
- Color By Numbers - A Sonnet Deconstructed
- Berestez - Earthine
- LEGO - J’eux
- Hacia Dos Veranos - Despertar
- Vizion - Survol D’une Foret Debeton
- Stab - Alienation
- Diffraction - Discover Lunacy
- Vitamins For You - Six O’clock Whispers
Further information with links to artists in next post. If the podcast turns you onto an artist, then please discover more of their music and support them.
Call for artists
As part of the ethos of the project we want to work with music artists who are distributing their work under Creative Commons licenses. We’d like to hear from you, so The Kleptones can consider your work for more extensive mash-up releases as the project progresses (leave a comment or post to the forum if you have subscribed).
The next Kleptones moodcast for The Unfold (the other script under development) is ready for release (members preview). The next series of podcasts after this are planned as ‘character playlists’.
Members gain access to exclusive and preview material. If you like the podcasts please support the project and subscribe.
Members can preview the next moodcast in this forum.

Hey Y’all,
We put out a rock record under a CC license. You can get at the full tracks yonder:

It’d be fun if those tracks are helpful.

I can’t find a link to subscribe. MAYBE I overlooked it, in which case I’ll be very grateful when someone points it out.
But if not, am I the only one annoyed because people call something a “podcast” when it really isn’t?
PODcast sort of implies the iPod: the subscription, the getting it auto-updated without re-visiting your site. Don’t get me wrong: I might become a reader. But right now, I’m only interested in clicking once and getting your content on my iPod, automatically. THAT is what a podcast is.

Hi Diego, you can subscribe through registering to the forum. I’ve changed a couple of links to make this more direct. I look forward to seeing you at The Nine Orders forum!
The definition of a podcast is a piece of audio targeted for mobile music players (obviously originating with the iPod) so you’re definitely going for a more specific definition, but the member-only areas of the forum have instructions for podcast feeds.
Thanks, mlh
